USAIR’s Regional ROTAX Summer Shoot-Out

USA International Raceway, joined by the Great Northern Rotax Series is proud to announce the launch of the Regional ROTAX Summer Shoot-Out. This scheduled event will take place over the weekend of July 19-20 at the track in Shawano, WI.

As the last opportunity for racers bound for the ROTAX Nationals to compete on the track before the traditional blackout, this will be the final test of the course. For those of you who have never raced at USAIR, the rolling terrain matched with the high performance asphalt and wide banked turns, makes for an amazing road course. The combination of the rollercoaster straightaway and the fall-away “S” turns that provide weightless effects at the top and pull an additional 2 “Gs” at the bottom make mastering this unique race track a real challenge.

July in Shawano is a beautiful time. The rich green landscape marked by beautiful lakes give visitors a great sense of country. Located just 40 miles northwest of Green Bay, this area is a popular summertime location for southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois residents.

The track will be available for practice sessions on Friday the 18^th for $35.00 per kart (including pit pass) with additional pit passes available for $10.00 each. Competitors will be assigned a single pit space per kart. Teams seeking dedicated space for tents and large trailers will need to contact track management to determine availability and location. Saturday’s Shoot-Out pre-entry online fee will be $85.00 per kart and will include a single two-day pit pass ($100.00 at track). Additional multi-day passes will be $20.00. The top three finalists in each class will receive trophies and the winners will receive a set of MoJo tires to be used during the Grand Nationals in September.

The Great Northern Rotax Series would like to invite all participants in the ROTAX Max Challenge to participate in this (non-points) gathering of ROTAX enthusiasts and fellow racers. GNRS was formed by a group of racers who share a passion for racing, speed, and competition, along with the level playing field the ROTAX Max Challenge racing series has created.

For spectators, the track offers bleacher seating, deluxe food service and a host of optional amusement activities including an outdoor pool with lounge area, bumper boats, and recreational fun-kart tracks for all ages. Miniature golf and an arcade are also present. The track also offers a complete wooded paintball competition park directly adjacent to the pits.

USAIR management has select hotel accommodations available and located within minutes of the track.

Tires for 2008 Racing Season!

Decisions have been made for spec tires for the 2008 season. Oval will stay with the Maxxis EL for all classes except for the Animal Medium class that will run on the HT3. Price will be the same at $150.00 plus tax ($158.25). The Sprint Program -2 cycle and 4 cycle - all classes will run on the MG/HZ (last year it was known as the MG/SLE). The cost is $189.00 plus tax (199.40) JR Sportsman SLE $181.44 plus tax (191.42). If you need to purchase tires for the 2008 season from the track, you will need to pre-order them by Tuesday April 8th and will be available for the Hay Bale Party. USAIR MG Tire Payback Program

Since the cost of tires have gone up this year we would like to help you out by implementing a Payback Program. The program will consist of a punch card with your name on it, this card will be punched for every tire purchased through the track, after the card is has been punched "8" times you will receive a free race entry to use at a regular race series event.
